Do you KNOW JESUS

As born again Christians we can not neglect our obligation to spread the good news of God's greatest GIFT to mankind. The birth, life, death and resurrection of God's only son Jesus Christ The Lord. No greater gift can a man give then to lay down his life for another. God not only laid down his life for us but the life of his son. All of this was done at no gain to the Lord but to the gain of we the occupants of this world. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

God did this so that we can enter into heaven. As sinners it is impossible for us to get there but with the shedding of Jesus' blood on the cross, God has provided a way for all of us to enter. "For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

Be careful not to be mislead by ANYONE that advises that your "good works" will get you there for that is completely wrong. "for by grace are ye saved through faith: not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8&9)

There is ONLY ONE WAY to heaven. "Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6)

All you need to do is four things:
1. Admit you are a sinner.
2. Be willing to turn from your sin (repent).
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose from the dead.
4. Invite Jesus into your life, in a prayer like this, "Lord I know that I am a sinner and I ask forgiveness for my sins, I believe that Jesus is your only son and that he died on the cross for my sins, I am willing to turn away from my sin. I am asking now that Jesus come into my heart and my life as my personal saviour."

"That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man beleiveth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9&10)

If you have prayed the above prayer and accepted Jesus in to your life then we encourage you to do the following five things. (These are the words of Rebecca St James which she states in each of her concerts and are so well said they bear repeating)

1. DIG INTO THE BIBLE
It really is our instruction book for life. The more we dig deep into it, the more we know how God wants us to live. I encourage people to read a chapter a day and really absorb the Word of God. That Book rocks!

2. DIG INTO PRAYER
What a privilege to actually be able to talk with the Creator of the world! Pour your heart out to Him. Give Him your burdens and everything that's going on in your life. He's God- He can handle it! Prayer is so powerful!

3. STICK CLOSE TO CHRISTIAN FRIENDS
We all need Christian friends to hold us accountable. We can't stand alone. I encourage people to start a small accountability group or Bible study.

4. GET RID OF JUNK IN YOUR LIFE
If there are certain things you are watching, listening to, or reading that God does not want you to have in your life, get rid of them. Because if you don't, those things are going to hurt your relationship with God.

5. GET INVOLVED IN CHURCH
It's so important that we are grounded in a Bible-based Christian church where we can grow spiritually and give out the light and love that we have in Jesus.
